The Parent Council is an association of parents appointed by the Principal.
Its purpose is to provide a forum to facilitate parent participation in the College by offering advice and feedback to the Principal, and to organize social and other functions.
It is not a decision-making body, nor is it involved in the management of the College.
In addition to its consultative role, the Parent Council aims to foster school community development.
The current chair of the Parent Council is Mrs Sharon Staude

PARENT LIAISON GROUP
The Parent Liaison Group is an initiative of Trinity College Parent Council and aims to further enable your family and the College to share the values and goals of a Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition and to enjoy being involved in the College community.
The objectives of the Parent Liaison Group in the Secondary School are:
• To enable the family and the College to share the values and goals of a Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice tradition;
• To encourage participation and promote belonging in the Trinity community through greater parental involvement; and
• To encourage communication between staff, parents and students.
The duties of the Parent Liaison group are:
• To promote parental attendance at College functions and events thereby further contributing to the life of the College;
• To organise social gatherings and functions for parents in the relevant Year Groups.
• To encourage parental participation in the Masses held for the relevant Year Group and organise a morning tea for parents following Mass.
• To welcome and assist families new to the College.
• To assist by liaising with other auxiliary parent groups of the College to coordinate support and assistance for families in times of need or crisis.
