7. Value Added
The College proudly provides a holistic education – whilst the formal curriculum offerings are important the many other activities that are available that are just as important. A complete description of the College’s offerings can be found in College Newsletters and in the College Annual.

8. Average Standardised Assessment Results for Year 9 and Year 10 Students
Western Australian schools do not participate in standardised testing for Year 10, results for Year 9 students can be found at point 6 above.

9. Senior Secondary Outcomes
Year 12 results - 2007
The Year 12 students of last year performed particularly well in their Tertiary Entrance Exams. Of special note is the outstanding performance of the very talented students within this cohort and the depth of talent illustrated by the large number of students achieving very good results. In statistical terms, 39% of our eligible students achieved a Tertiary Entrance Rank of 90 or better. This places them in the top 10% of the school leaver age population. In the context of this broad base of achievement, many students returned particularly pleasing results:

Four students received a Certificate of Excellence and 13 students joined the elite 400 club. This means that their TER equates to a Tertiary Entrance score of over 400.

The College maintains its focus upon academic excellence and ensuring that each of its students reaches their intellectual potential.

10. Proportion of Year 9 Students Retained to Year 12 (or equivalent)
The 2007 graduating class consisted of 185 students

The 2004 Year 9 class had 185 students of these 164 students graduated from Trinity College at the end of 2007. Thus 89% of entering Year 9 students graduated from Trinity College at the end of 2007.

11. Post-school Destinations
Of the 185 Year 12 students who left the College in 2007, 126 of them applied for a position at University; 119 (94.4%) of these students were offered a place.

As of March 2008, 98 students were enrolled at University, 12 had deferred and the remainder had allowed their offers to lapse.

Another 20 students not eligible for University had received an offer to study at TAFE. Of these, 15 had accepted a place and commenced study.

12. Parent, Student and Teacher Satisfaction
Parents, students and teachers are very satisfied with the College – this is confirmed through:

  • The waiting lists we have at each year level.
  • The exit interviews held with each year 12 student and the College Chaplain – this allows them to talk frankly about the College.
  • The high retention rate we have with staff. This is indicative of the satisfaction that both our teaching and non-teaching staff have with the College.
  • The lack of concerns or issues raised with College personnel.

All parents, students and teachers are continually encouraged to raise issues or concerns with the appropriate personnel within the College. The Parent Council was formed to provide an advisory role to the College, through this forum parents have another opportunity to raise issues with the College.
