I remember the first time I met you, Fr Mac, in Broome many years ago. The wags told me the story of the police driving up next to you and pointing at you with the words "Seat Belt!" Your reply was also a pointed finger and the words "Sunday Mass!!" THe story sums up your engaging nature and your friendship with everyone. Will miss you. |

I'm absolutely shocked and dismayed to read of the passing of Father Mac, a champion bloke committed to helping all those that he came into contact with. His warmth, sensitivity and good humour will be irreplaceable. Always keen to chat and so persuasive - I wouldn't put it past Father Michael to organise some divine intervention on the part of the Western Bulldogs 2008 premiership campaign. Peace be with you. |
