SPECIAL EVENTS
The life of Junior students at Trinity is enriched by a variety of co-curricular activities and special events.
Assemblies
Regular Friday afternoon assemblies give the Junior School the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the success of others through the presentation of achievement awards in the many aspects of the College. The assemblies also allow individual classes to perform a variety of musical and dramatic items for the rest of the school to enjoy.
Camps
Camps are held for Year 5 and 7 students. This year the year 5 class attended the 'Forrest Edge' camp site in Warroona. Students enjoyed outdoor activities such as abseiling, canoeing and challenge courses. The Year 7 students take part in a three day camp that relates directly to their preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Book Week
Book Week allows students to focus on the diverse range of literature available in the Junior School Library. The week is packed with fun activities and competitions related directly to the various books which have been short listed for awards from The Children's Book Council of Australia.
Chess
The Junior School provides a Chess Development Programme giving all students an opportunity to learn the game. The programme leads the boys into intraschool and interschool competitions.
Fathers' Day Breakfast
Each year on the Friday before Fathers' Day, the staff of the Junior School treat the boys and their dads to breakfast to recognise the input and importance fathers have in the development of their sons. This has become a special tradition for fathers and sons. |
