I never thought I would have a teenage son who was reluctant to read books. We’d spent countless hours lying together on his bed reading Spot, Thomas the Tank Engine and later the Treehouse series and Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events. He loved going each year to listen to Andy Griffiths speak at Writers Festival events and would line up in long queues on hot February days to have the author sign his Treehouse books....

What a great night! Last night was the 2018 Trinity College Presentation Night, and it did not disappoint. There were inspiring speeches, impressive music and dance performances, and of course, awards. Dux of the College Joseph Pinto with Mr Kenny One of the highlights of the night had to be the performance by the Trinity Massed Choir. Their rendition of Bastille’s Pompeii blew the audience away, especially Year 12 lead vocalist Asher Fatin....
