On Friday, 24 April, Trinity College held an ANZAC Service in Centenary Park. The whole school attended to honour the ANZAC troops in this, their Centenary year. Headmaster Mr Banks, Head Prefect Alex Ishida-Livings and Junior School Head Boy Benjamin Tucker laid wreaths at the ANZAC memorial. Students gained an insight into the war, soldiers and remembrance when they were addressed by guest speakers Mr Kevin Buckley ('89) and Lieutenant Commander Mark Janieszewski....

Centenary Park was a sea of students today as they waited to greet members of the Royal Australian Navy 723 Squadron, as they flew in by helicopter to promote the benefits of Navy life. One of our Navy visitors, Benjamin Hanson-Murphy ('03), was taught by Mr Tony Maxfield when he was in Year 5! After a successful season, the start of the Regatta did not disappoint with our Year 9s victorious in almost every race and a touch of drama when the 9B's crabbed and came to a standstill before recovering and racing through the field to gain a creditable third place....

The Grand Prix and Nationals with Australian Canoeing are not for the faint hearted but Trinity student Luke Morton (11.3) made the Australian Junior Under 18 Team when he was only 15, after coming 2nd in the Mens K1 1000 U18 and winning the Mens K2 1000 in 3:23.73. Luke also blitzed the Under 16 category with a 1st in the Mens Under 16 K1 200 and the Mens K2 500 with a 2nd place in the Mens K2 200....

At Trinity College the first week of Science classes for Year 6 White were exciting and loud! New science teacher Ms Stacey Turich taught students about Hydrogen and Oxygen gas. Students enjoyed a live demonstration in which a tin of Pringles was filled with Hydrogen gas and then ignited. The results? The Pringles tin launched towards the laboratory ceiling as a confetti of Pringles floated through the air....
