This occasion marked the culmination of the fantastic Year 8 Christian Service effort lead by the PCG Councillors who organised a sausage sizzle, amongst other smaller activities, to raise funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation. The mission of the Starlight Foundation is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their family.

This cause is close to the hearts of the Year 8 boys, and during the assembly Ms Phan reinforced and acknowledged our support, as Starlight is an inspiring foundation that aims to brighten the lives of children and families facing life-threatening illness. An example of how this is often achieved includes allowing affected families opportunities to experience ‘bucket-list’ type holidays and activities.

Special thanks for this fundraising effort is reserved to the Bonwick family (Lachlan Bonwick 8.7), who through their Mosman Fresh IGA store were very generous in donating meat, bread and sauce amongst other items to ensure optimal funds were raised.

Other families within the Year 8 cohort were similarly charitable through donating produce and money towards the cause. Many thanks to all involved!
