What a great night! Last night was the 2018 Trinity College Presentation Night, and it did not disappoint. There were inspiring speeches, impressive music and dance performances, and of course, awards.
One of the highlights of the night had to be the performance by the Trinity Massed Choir. Their rendition of Bastille’s Pompeii blew the audience away, especially Year 12 lead vocalist Asher Fatin. Other highlights included performances by the Trinity/Mercedes Wind Orchestra, Diversity, the Trinity Senior Chorale, GIG/Imperium, Swing Band One and the Trinity Pipes & Drums.
Head Prefect Jeremy Hansen gave the Valedictorian Address. He spoke about his time at the College, the developments initiated by the 2018 Prefects, and the innovation he has seen take place over this past year.
Following the distribution of prizes, the 2018 Prefects handed over their responsibility to the 2019 Prefects during the Prefect Naming Ceremony. Special congratulations to Simon Homsany, the 2019 Head Prefect, and Jean-Paul Starkie, the 2019 Deputy Head Prefect.
