Describe your experience at Trinity College.... I had a very happy time at Trinity College and reflect on those days with fondness. We had a strong student cohort, particularly in Years 11 & 12. Sport was a major part of my Trinity life and I enjoyed playing a vast array of sports from Primary school through to my final year. What path did your life take after you left Trinity College?. Like ...

Understanding 'Bigorexia'

Understanding 'Bigorexia'

I was at a dinner party a few weeks ago when a mother of a boy in his late teens expressed concern about his gym-going routine, strict high-protein diet and his current “shredding”. (That’s the rapid weight loss efforts body builders do before a competition, not what one does with confidential documents!) The other mums present reassured her that he was pursuing a healthy hobby ...

On his time at Trinity.... I came to Trinity in Year 10 and my initial impression was that it was a very welcoming place. My father was an old boy, and after a less than great experience at my previous school, the Principal at the time, Tony Curtis, welcomed me with open arms. I knew the school had a good sporting program, and I was proud to be a part of the 1st Water Polo team in Year 10. Unfortunately, I lost almost all my vision towards the end of Term 1 of Year 10....

Trinity and beyond. My experience at Trinity was a very positive one. I started in 1984 and finished in 1992 and the friendships I formed during those years are still very strong today. I loved the balance between education, religion and sporting activities that the school provides and feel extremely lucky to have had such a great environment for learning and social development. When I graduated ...

In his own words... How sad, yet apt, that I should write these comments as one of the Voices to celebrate Trinity's 125th Anniversary in the same week that we have buried Brother Geoff Seaman, certainly the most profound influence on me during my schooldays at Trinity. Brother Seaman, or "George " as we boys knew him, taught me the life lesson that has stayed with me and sustained me more than once on the "dark night of the soul....

50 Years of PSA Sport

A little bit of history.... It was in 1967, after many years of meetings and commitment by the Christian Brothers, Parents and Old Boys of CBC Perth and Trinity College that Trinity was invited to join the PSA. It was suggested to the College that they use a special PSA sporting event as their introduction into the competition, and the 1968 Athletics carnival was chosen. From the first gun-shot, ...

The assembly started with an address from our Headmaster, Mr Kenny. Mr Kenny talked about the invaluable role that sport plays in helping students to develop essential attributes including leadership, team work, and discipline.  While he acknowledged that winning and losing is important in sport, he reminded students that giving your best to everything that you do is most important. If give your best in all aspects of life, that will be enough....
