On Friday, 19 August, students at Trinity College participated in the Annual Fun Run for India. The Fun Run is held in conjunction with other fundraising events during the year to raise money to support the College Mission programs in India.

Trinity students from Years 7 – 12 were joined by staff to run a 6 kilometre course around the Swan River. The participants started at the Trinity College campus and ran along the Swan River, crossing both the Causeway and Windan Bridge before finishing back at the College. Once the event finished, the College celebrated with a sausage sizzle for the students.

Trinity College has been supporting projects in India for the past 20 years. Every two years, the College sends a team of nine students and three adults to assist at five different missions in India focused on bettering the lives of disadvantaged children. The next India pilgrimage will take place in 2017.

All donations raised for the India Missions go directly to people in India. Raising money for charity is an important part of the Christian Service program at Trinity College, and this year we are hoping to raise over $20,000.
