Parent Groups

A key element of Catholic educational philosophy is that parents, having conferred life on their children, are the first educators of their children.

The family is therefore the first and foremost educational environment and should provide the atmosphere of learning and love that teaches children reverence for God, Christian values, respect for self and others and social and life skills. Having chosen Trinity College to assist with their child’s education, parents are encouraged to continue their role as educators in collaborative partnership with the College staff.

Parent Council

The Parent Council is a group of parents who meet on a regular basis to provide support and advice to the College Leadership Team, especially related to areas of parental support.

Membership is open to all parents of students enrolled at the College and is for a period of three years.

Being involved in the Parent Council gives parents the opportunity to actively contribute to their son’s education. The sense of camaraderie and the benefits of making good friends and having fun, makes involvement in this parent group a wonderful experience. To join, email our Chairperson, Bernie at tcparentcouncil@gmail.com.

College Auxiliary

The College Auxiliary is a long-standing institution at Trinity College, proudly continuing the tradition of providing practical support at the many events held at the College each year.

More than that, however, the Auxiliary provides a wonderful opportunity to get involved in College life and to develop friendships with other parents.

The Auxiliary Committee meets monthly during term time, and all parents are most welcome to attend meetings, however your level of involvement can be as simple as adding your name to the list of volunteers who may be called on to help at events.

To join, email our President, Mel at melday6014@gmail.com.

'Friends of' Groups

There are a variety of sporting and cultural 'Friends of' groups at Trinity College, where parents can assist with fundraising for facilities and tours, helping to make and serve food to students, providing support at events - the opportunities are endless.

"Class of" Parent Facebook Groups

Each year group has a dedicated Facebook group, providing a space for parents and guardians to connect, share information, and support one another throughout their child’s journey at the College.

These groups are often used to communicate reminders, organise social events, and occasionally assist with lost property - helping to strengthen the sense of community within each cohort.

To join, you must be a current parent or guardian and answer a few questions to be approved. Please ensure you read our Facebook Group Guidelines before requesting to join.
