Scholarships & Bursaries

At Trinity, we are pleased to offer a variety of scholarships and bursaries to help support families and students with their education.

Applications for 2022 Scholarships & Bursaries are now closed.

Year 4 Academic Scholarship

Trinity College is offering Academic Scholarships to students in Year 3 applicable for Year 4. Students selected must have an excellent work ethic, demonstrate a passion for academic performance and display exemplary conduct. Applicants are required to complete a Trinity College aptitude examination.

Year 7 Academic Scholarship

Trinity College proudly offers scholarships available to boys entering Year 7 which provide up to a 50% remission of tuition fees. This scholarship is offered based on performance in the Trinity Scholarship Examination.

Edmund Rice Bursary

The Edmund Rice Bursary is awarded to a student entering Year 7 and who in the normal course would not be able to attend Trinity College due to extenuating family circumstances. The student’s academic records will be also reviewed. Whilst tuition fees will be fully covered, the technology levy, resource fee, device, uniform and books will be the parent/guardian’s responsibility. The student will be expected to participate fully in the life of the College.

Karrik Bursary

Available to boys of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background entering Year 7, who are able to demonstrate financial need and would benefit from a Trinity education.  Expressions of interest and applications for this bursary can be made at any time during the year.  Applications for this scholarship close on 30 June each year.

Refugee Bursary

Available to boys of Refugee background entering Year 7, who are able to demonstrate financial need and would benefit from a Trinity education.

Music Scholarships (including the Lynn Kirkham Pipe Organ Scholarship)

Available to boys entering the College in Years 4, 7 or Year 11 who are talented instrumentalists and/or vocalists. Applications for this scholarship are welcomed from current students as well as external applicants. A 3rd-grade AMEB standard on piano is required for students applying for the Pipe Organ Scholarship. Auditions for Music Scholarships will be held at the College by arrangement with the Director of Music.

TOBA Bursary

Available to boys entering Year 7 in 2022 who are the sons or grandsons of Old Boys and who would otherwise be unable to attend Trinity College for financial reasons. The TOBA Bursary covers 50% of tuition fees. Trinity-Terrace Old Boys’ Association (TOBA) applicants need to complete a Bursary Eligibility Questionnaire which will include your full financial situation.
