Why CPLP?
The College-Provided Laptop Program gives students a consistent, secure and fully supported learning device for use at school and at home. Standardising the platform helps reduce technical disruption and provides reliable access to the tools students need for learning.

Software, Learning Tools and Student Value
CPLP is more than the physical device. Students receive a College-configured environment with learning, productivity, creativity, online safety and support services. The website should name the major services so families can understand the full value of the program.

Security and Digital Wellbeing
Windows Hello facial recognition
Students can securely sign in using facial recognition, reducing password-related disruption while maintaining a secure sign-in experience.
Managed security
Support, Warranty and Protection
Warranty care, support and repair coordination are handled through Trinity College ICT. Students should report issues to the ICT Service Desk rather than arranging an external repair.
Continuity of learning
Where a device requires an eligible repair, a loan device will be made available, subject to availability, so the student can continue accessing learning resources while the repair is being completed.

Eligible hardware faults and warranty repairs
Accidental damage covered under Microsoft Complete for Schools
Examples may include cracked screens, accidental drops, liquid spills and eligible USB-C/USB port damage
Assessment, warranty liaison and repair coordination through Trinity ICT
What's not covered
Lost devices
Stolen devices
Deliberate or malicious damage
Lost accessories, including the keyboard, Slim Pen, charger or protective case
Unauthorised or external repairs
Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation
Report the incident immediately to the ICT Service Desk.
A police report may be required where theft is suspected.
Families may be responsible for replacement costs.
Families should consider whether their household insurance provides suitable cover for a student device away from home.
